Danielle E. Rush, E-RYT, ACE CPT, FMS

Mindful Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher

ACE Certified Personal Trainer, Fitness Nutrition Specialist, Health & Lifestyle Support Coach

Danielle’s health journey began over twenty years ago after the birth of her son.

She lost weight through planning her meals and exercise and was inspired to become a personal trainer.  Danielle was a physical education teacher at a private school in Virginia for seven years.

In 2014, Danielle found yoga for stress reduction and back pain relief.   She is a Certified and Registered 500 Hour Yoga Teacher.  She trained in Northern Virginia with Catie Nawrocki and has a lineage from Sri Swami Satchidananda's Integral Yoga. She teaches Meditation, Hatha, Vinyasa, Restorative, and Yin Yoga.

In September of 2018, she completed Yoga Medicine's Cadaver Lab Dissection for Yoga Teachers. Danielle saw firsthand how we are all "beautifully and wonderfully made."

She believes it is important to understand how the human body works as a whole so that we can take care of ourselves.  Her students get the opportunity to work on their range of motion, strength, core stability, relaxation, nervous system regulation, and mindset.

Danielle has trained with Yoga Medicine by Tiffany Cruikshank. Yoga Medicine, an anatomy and physiology-based program that looks to intertwine western and eastern philosophies, trains teachers to think independently about the body and understand the WHY.

This education enhances Danielle’s ability to work one-on-one with clients and their healthcare team to find a yoga practice that complements their care.

Danielle has spent the last ten years studying trauma, functional movement, behavior change, and business. Danielle is a professional chef and artist with a background as a Corporate Chef and an MA in Creative Studies with a focus on Meditation and Art.  She hosts retreats that focus on education, yoga, art, adventure, cultural diversity, and personal development.

She has completed advanced training on:
